Tower Cottage is a delightful
one-bedroom stone cottage situated in the grounds of a large country
house. Just four miles from the sea, it is an ideal base for exploring
the glorious coast and countryside of north Northumberland.
|
|
Visitors are free to use
the extensive gardens and woodland, and to visit the 14th-century
pele tower, dating from the stormy days of the Border Reivers.
There is open country and farmland all around, and sharp-eyed
visitors may catch a glimpse of the red squirrels that live in
the gardens and woods. There is a tennis court for visitors' use,
and horse riding, fishing and sailing can be arranged. |
