Formerly one of the Island public houses, Britannia House is now a spacious and comfortable family house. Beautifully renovated, it retains all its original features such as beamed ceilings and an open fire, while benefiting from full central heating and double glazing. Britannia sleeps up to six people, with a charming en suite, twin-bedded loft conversion on the second floor, a spacious double bedroom with views over the village green, and a bunk-bedded room suitable for children, or as a single adult bedroom.

Ground floor

Sitting room. Spacious comfortable room with original beamed ceiling and apothecary storage drawers. Stone-built fireplace, comfortable sofas and armchair, window table and chairs. Television, VCR and DVD, hi-fi.
Kitchen. Fully equipped kitchen, with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, conventional and microwave ovens.
Dining room, with dining table and chairs. Access to rear courtyard with a pleasant sunny aspect, and table and chairs for sitting out.
Washing machine and tumble dryer.

First floor

Main bedroom. King-size double bed, large built in wardrobe,
chest of drawers. Views across the green to the sea beyond.
Bedroom two. Twin room with 3-foot-wide bunks, wardrobe.
Bathroom. Toilet, hand basin and bath with power shower attachment.

Second floor

Bedroom three. Loft conversion, which comprises a bright and airy
twin bedroom, landing space with seat and chest of drawers,
and en suite shower room. The second floor is self-contained,
and ideal for children or couples.

Britannia House holds a Green Tourism Silver Award. We aim to run our
business in an environmentally friendly way, as part of living in the unique
and wonderful environment of Holy Island. We supply you with eco-cleaning
products, and you’ll find lots of green info at The Cottage.

Outside

There is a sunny courtyard at the back of the house, and the village green, with a house bench for your use, at the front.
There is parking immediately outside the cottage.

Holy Island is reached by causeway, at low tide, and crossing times are supplied for your arrival day.

One small pet by arrangement.
